Show . 4 LindaSue's Ww& Comer " " Quiches! What are quiches? Something good and filling and easy to make. Just stop at the market and buy a frozen pie shell and you're ready to start. Try this deluxe quiche, it's excellent. Once you can do an easy one like this, you can vary your ingredients and as long as you use eggs, you can whip up something nourishing and something spectacular for dinner guests. 9 inch pie shell 6 slices bacon 12 c. chopped ham 2 c. swiss cheese, grated 1 c. cheddar cheese, grated 4 eggs 1 can (13 oz.) evaporated milk dash pepper and nutmeg Prepare shell according to directions. Microcook bacon on high 3-5 minutes until crisp or fry in pan. Cool. Crumble bacon. Sprinkle bacon and cheese into pie shell. In 1-qt. casserole, beat eggs. Add remaining ingredients. Microcook at 50 power 5-8 minutes until heated, stirring occasionally or cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally to avoid scorching. Remove from microwave or stove and pour into baked pie shell. Microcook or bake for 15 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. For all you ladies who do a lot of work in your kitchen, here are some helpful hints to cut down on your electricity bill: to save some time while baking, there is no need to preheat the oven; to save on hot water bills, when using your food disposer, use cold water; and for you dishwasher fans, one dishwasher load uses less hot water than three washes by hand. k - : " -a.
