Show Roxanne Travels With U.. Ski Team The United States Alpine Team has announced that . plans for the Sept. 28 to Oct. . 17 Training Camp in Saas Fee, Switzerland have been finalized. This camp will be the beginning of the ski team's intensive on-snow training that will lead to the December World Cup races. All members of the National and Junior National Teams as well as four development athletes will attend. Head Women's Coach, Hermann Goellner, said the ; training will emphasize very aggressive free skiing as well as technical work in downhill, down-hill, slalom and giant slalom. U.S. Ski Team Coaches-assisting Coaches-assisting Goellner will be 1 John Atkins, John McMur-try, McMur-try, and Michel Rudigoz. 1 Nationl Team members making the trip are Cindy Nelson, Abbi Fisher, Tamara McKiriney, Christin Cooper, Heidi Preuss, Holly Flanders, Fland-ers, Jamie Kurlander and Viki Fleckenstein. Junior National Team members participating are Cindy Oak, Roxanne Toly, Julie Woodworth, Noel Lyons, Pam Fletcher, Lori Greeley, Susan Holes, Maria Maracich, Katrina Terzian . and Eva Pfosi. . , Development athletes taking tak-ing part in the training are Maribeth Andrie, E. Burke, VT; Diane Berard, E. Burke, VT; Heidi Knight, New Canaan, CT; and Barbie Patterson, Sun Valley, ID. Domestic Coaches Brad Ghent of Winter Park, CO and George Capaul of Water-ville Water-ville Valley, NH will also assist. Commenting on this portion por-tion of the training and preparation for the upcoming competitive season, Gollner said, "Reports from Europe indicate that tha. snow conditions at Saas Fee are quite good. We anticipate this phase of training will provide a good solid technical techni-cal foundation for the racing |
