Show Eagle Update A Friend to All It is 1:50 P.E. time for the eighth grade. Everybody was lined up in their squads. The students have done their exercises and are waiting to be picked for football, but something was missing. The person who was always picked first wasn't there. That person is Gary White. Gary White was killed in a two car auto accident just outside of Park City by Park West. There were three other people in the car, they all lived. Gary wasn't as fortunate. The Winters Middle Mid-dle School publications class decided to dedicate a trophy case to him. In this trophy case there are things representing repre-senting various hobbies that Gary did. There are pictures of Gary and some artwork he did. Also as a dedication, the publications class is dedicating dedicat-ing the Winters Middle School interamurals to him. The winnter of the intranufr" als gets the Gary White trophy. Gary was a great athlete, so the publications class thought this was appropriate for the occasion. We will all miss him, he was a great friend to all. Susan Stover Eighth Grade, at Last! Well, I've made it. I have never previously been in the top grade of school. Since I was moving into different school systems rather frequently; fre-quently; there was always at least one higher grade than mine in every school I've been in. It doesn't feel like I thought it would. It is sort of an insecure feeling, knowing there is no one more advanced than you are in the schooir Even so, I feel that this year will be the funnest year yet. Since we are the biggest, we get to have all the special courses, help in running the school, via the student council, and play the teachers in the student faculty games. Yes, I'm satisfied with the amount of time I've spent in school this year and I'm looking forward to the rest of the school year. Eddie Callan |
