Show Para-Sid at P. West What's a Para-Ski Race? If it is a pair of skis racing together down ' a mountain, there's nothing new about that. Ii's not that simple and not that new. according to Linda Miller of Dynastar Skis, Inc.. organizer of the National Para-Ski Finals to be held at Park West Resort Tuesday and - Wednesday. April 1 and 2. Para-Ski competition combines com-bines accurate parachute jumping with a giant slalom or slalom snow ski course. On the first day. competitors will be timed on a challenging race course. The second day they will be whisked by helicopter to 3.200 feet above ground level and. equipped with full parachute gear, they will "bail out" attempting to land as close to a ten centimeter OV inch) target as possible.
