Show L ' V Maie Raddon, 1889-1978 Maie Nimmo Raddon died early Tuesday morning in LDS Hospital in Salt Lake of causes relating to age. Maie was born and raised in Park City and taught school here for over 50 years. She was 88 years old. Maie's parents were John P. and Margaret Gray Nimmo. She married LePage Raddon, whose father Samuel and uncle William Raddon, founded The Park Record Rec-ord in 1880. LePage was editor of the Record for over 30 years. He died in January of 1956. Maie was a member of the Congregational and Community Church and also past patron and treasurer of Mountain Chapter number 2 of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association and also Utah Teachers Association. Maie Raddon is survived by her brother, William Nimmo of Salt Lake and several nieces and a nephew. Funeral services will be this Friday at Olpin Morturary at noon. Friends may call Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary as well as prior to the funeral. Maie will be buried in Salt Lake City cemetery.1 Maie Raddon will be deeply missed by the staff at the Record, not only because she was well-liked well-liked and served the community for many years, but also because we feel we have lost a member of the Park Record family. |
