Show REV. BILLY GRAHAM NAMED "MAN OF THE YEAR" Evangelist Billy Graham was awarded the coveted "Man of the Year" trophy from Sarah Coventry Inc., at simple ceremonies at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Rex W. Wood, president of the international jewelry firm of Newark, New York State, made the presentation to Rev. Graham. The Rev. Graham was honored hon-ored "in recognition of his lifelong devotion to bringing a reaffirmation of Christian faith to mankind, a dynamic and inspirational leadership uplifting the lives of millions world-wide, the humble and the mighty, without regard to creed, race, color or worldly world-ly goods." We are honored to bestow be-stow this award on Billy Graham, "Mr. Wood said. "We at Sarah Coventry have a deep interest in offering opportunities opport-unities to improve the quality of life, as we have 40,000 representatives on three continents, con-tinents, including those in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Belgium. The 1971 Woman of the Year for Sarah Coventry was Mamie Eisenhower, and others oth-ers who have accepted the award include Pearl S. Buck, Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winner, win-ner, and Shirley Temple Black, U.S. Delegate to the General Assembly of the United Nations. Na-tions. Others present for the informal in-formal awarding of the Man of the Year trophy included Mr. A. G. Winfrey, Executive Vice President of Sarah Coventry, Co-ventry, Mrs. Wood and Mrs. Winfrey. |
