Photo by Max Jarman Little A 11 star Team Selected 3y Max Jarman Saturday was the annual md raiser spaghetti dinner l which proceeds will go to romote Little League ac-vity ac-vity next year. The meal was a delicious jaghetti dinner prepared by erri and Mick Bishop, Mr. id Mrs. Wayne Putman, Deloris De-loris Clegg, Kim Putman and supervised by Vic Miles. These people are to be commended for the fine job they did and their devotion to a darn good cause. After a capacity crowd of over 400 had finished a fine meal, which included spaghetti, spag-hetti, salad, rolls, cake and drink, the awards were given out. First the team officers were acknowledged. They were: President Neil Clegg, Vice president, Tom Grose; treasurer, Alex Huggardf reporter, Randy Sorenson. These people were commended com-mended for their fine service ser-vice to the community. A special award was given to Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Putman Put-man and Mr. and Mrs. Mick Bishop for their special efforts ef-forts towards the promotion promo-tion of Little League ball in Park City. Finally to the individual team awards: NeilCleggsaid he didn't like the idea of a fourth place team so the team standings were as follows: fol-lows: third place team, the Cubs, coached by Ford Far- Frank Neveller, Billy Reed, Kenny Eley.DavidEley, Tom Schaefer, Tom Sprole, Sean Evans, Paul Mawhinney, and Jeff Murnin. The champions were the Devils, coached by Alex Hug-gard Hug-gard and Ricky Sorenson. Each member of the Devils received a trophy. They were Mickey Henrion, Ron Bert-agnole, Bert-agnole, Erik Hays, Troy Putman, Put-man, Floyd Grose, Dick 01-sen, 01-sen, Terry Johnson, Don Putman, Marko Alvarez, Chris Telesco, Chris Cooper, Coop-er, GregFoote and Matt Al-verez. Al-verez. Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for, the announcing of this years all-star team. The all-star team will Dlav ley and John Zumda. bach team member received a certificate of performance. The Record would like to congratulate the fine Cub team of: Sean Hazelwood, Brian Yates, Russel Piatt, Kevin Phillips, Scott Poly-chronis, Poly-chronis, Scott Parallio, Scott Williams, Brad Bolton, Perry Per-ry Leatham, Mark Uriarte, Ted Smith and Steven Toly. Nice season boys! In second place were the Braves, coached by Kelly Mackley and Brian Shelby. Congratulations to a fine Brave team of: Marty Cowan, Marty Stagg, Mike Weaver, Randy Schaefer, Greg Bair, Jeff Smith, Les Larsen, Howard Uriarte, Tim King, Sandra Mackley and Brian Snow. In first place were the Pirates, Pir-ates, coached by Clark Martinez Mar-tinez and Tom Grose. Receiving Re-ceiving awards were: Greg Telesco, Neil Clegg, Louie Leatham, Billy Simons, Alpine in Heber on August 31. They must win both games and according to regional director, Wayne Clegg, Park City has a darn good chance of winning. If they win in Heber City they will go to the regional finals in American Fork and should they win there, they will go, all expenses paid, to Idaho Falls for the Little League World Series. The following were named to the all-star team and received re-ceived a trophy and an all-star all-star hat: Mark Uriarte, Mickey Henrion, Jeff Murnin, Mur-nin, Kenny Eley,. Dick 01-sen, 01-sen, Marty Cowan, Erik Hays, Scott PolychronisJ Louie Leatham, Scott Kay-sler, Kay-sler, Brian Bertagnole, David Eley, Brad Bowden and Marty Stagg.
