Show Requirements Emphasized Numerous topics were covered by the Board of Education Ed-ucation at their regular session ses-sion held last week. Mrs. William Bertagnole met with the board and praised prais-ed the efforts of Mr. Brent Bird, Art Instructor at Park High. The board heard Mrs. Bertagnole praise Mr. Bird's efforts in the field of art and other activities. Instructions were given to the Athletic Department not to schedule football and basketball bas-ketball games with out of state schools due to the iraveling distance. The board also directed that a letter be written to Mrs. Mabel Martinez congratulating con-gratulating her for receiving receiv-ing a plaque from the State School Employees Association Associa-tion for being the Outstanding Outstand-ing Employee of the Year. A letter was received from Gene Jacobsonof the University Univer-sity of Utah stating that an instrument to assist school districts in evaluating principals prin-cipals and teachers will be discussed at the State School Board Convention to be held this month and Superintend ent Dennis Nelson recommended recom-mended the teacher evaluation eval-uation be postponed until after that meeting.
