Show Early Miner's Son Is Visitor A gentleman stepped into the Park Record Office Saturday morning and said, "I was born right here in Park City and my father worked in the Silver King Mine!" He seemed real excited about being here and further conversation conver-sation brought to light that he is the Rev. David Buzza, now of Burley, Idaho, where he is minister min-ister of the First Presbyterian Church. His father was W. D. Buzza who worked in the Silver King Mine as head blacksmith and made most of the equipment equip-ment for the Spiro Tunnel and the Thaynes Shaft. The Buzza family moved from Park City to Salt Lake City but the father fath-er commuted back and forth and continued to work in the mine until about 1938. Young David was at that time attending Westminster College in Salt Lake City and working summers in the mine here in Park City; he was then graduated grad-uated from McCormick Theological Theo-logical Seminary in Chicago and ordained in Salt Lake City. He is now married and has three sons, John in Salt Lake City, David in Denver, and one in St. Paul. John, David and their wives, Kay and Bonnie, as well as his wife, Frances, were all with him as he renewed acquaintances ac-quaintances with Park City. The father, W. D. Buzza, now lives with another son in Waukesha, Wauk-esha, Wis. |
