Show Chit-Chat By BEA KUMMER May 29, 1971 Mr. and Mrs. Don Tree are the proud grandparents of their seventh grandchild. Walking on cloud nine are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Tree and boasting their first child, a seven pound baby girl born May 18 and will be known as Mary Ann. Born on her mother's birthday a very special bundle of joy. Maternal grandfather is William G. Snow-den Snow-den formerly of Las Vegas, Nevada. Received word of a nephew of Nan McPolin, Robert Mark Mitchell, son of Donna Thomas Mitchell formerly of ParkCity, has just returned home after finishing school at Naval Air Technical Training Center in Lake Hurst, New Jersey, where he completed a course in Air Craft Launch and Recovery Equipment. He is visiting with family, friends and relatives before he returns to Travis Air Force Base and then on to Japan to rendezvous with the aircraft carrier Tuskaroha, where he will be aboard for a month then return to the states. He launches and recovers the planes on and off the carrier. May 24 fifty members of the Salt Lake Arts and Garden Club spent the day in ParkCity lunch at the Treasure Mountain Inn at noon with Bea Kummer as guest of honor. These ladies were a very delightful de-lightful group to be with. Bea Kummer gave them a brief history his-tory of Park City after which we toured Main Street and visited visit-ed all the interesting spots here. They were so interested in the town and have such a delightful de-lightful outlook of the natural beauty and its old and new look they were full of questions and the day just wasn't long enough for them to enjoy it all. I am sure they will be regular visitors from herein. Delia May Thompson Kummer, Kum-mer, wife of Lawrence (Tom) Kummer lived in Park City for the first years of their married life, moving to Heber City in the late 20's. Tom and George were brothers. George is the father of Kenneth Kummer this city. |
