Show - . ; New P. O. Sites Inspected, In-spected, Appraised 1 I Hill I I- 1 " On Monday, Mr. Lewis, of the U. S. Postofflce Bureau was in Bingham Bing-ham to inspect the various proper, ties offered for the new Federal Building. Those properties on which bids have been submitted were gone over by Mr. Lewis, they are: Cwnyon-Garage Cwnyon-Garage corner ; a site both on the north and .ihe south of and adjoining adjoin-ing the present Postofflce, and the grounds occupied by the Miniature Golf course. After inspecting these sites, Mr. Lewis said the prices named in the bids on these properties prop-erties were too high, perhaps double their actual value. Mr. Lewis also looked over some other locations while here. One of these was the Copper-King and Royal Candy Co. corner! This location loca-tion was measured for depth and frontage and found to be adequate for the space required. - Mr. Lewis stated that in case a suitable site could be had at a reasonable rea-sonable price, the department would be able to start construction work by September. Mr. Lewis instuated however, that unless a site could be obtained at a reasonable figure the project would be Jeopardized. |
