City area. Arrangements had v been made and Tour Hostesses were assigned to each bus as it N wound its way up one street and down another stopping on Main Street so the ladies could tour the stores, shops and landmarks. land-marks. Mrs. Bertha Wright, Pioneer from Salt Lake City, was the hit of the group of visitors in her hand-made bonnet which she had fashioned exactly as her ancestors an-cestors had made them. All of her grandparents were Mormon Mor-mon pioneers and one of her -great-grandfathers pushed a hand cart across the wilderness in the original trek to Utah. Bea Kummer was in charge of the hostesses and made gowns for each to wear. The six who assisted were LaVerne Mathiek Florence Ryan, Reva Richard son, Lillian Smith, Marcelle Street and Vera Tree. At noon the ladies enjoyed luncheon at the Park City Resort Re-sort and then all went to the Silver Wheel Theatre for a special showing of the Melodrama. Melo-drama. The group enjoyed the entire day and many were heard to say that they would like to return at another time with their families. |
