Show Decisions Affect Workers Two decisions have been made that will affect Greater Great-er Park City Company seasonal sea-sonal employees who return next year. First, hours worked to qualify for vacationtime will be allowed to accrue from one season to the next consecutive con-secutive season. Second, the rule requiring an employee to work 30 days prior to a holiday to qualify for holiday pay will be waived waiv-ed for returning employees for Thanksgiving. Under the present system, an hourly employee must work 1,040 hours to be eligible el-igible for one week of vacation. vaca-tion. Many seasonal employees never work that many hours in a season, and therefore, ' never -qualify for a vacation. Now, these hours' win be allowed to accumulate, and seasonal employees who return re-turn to the resort the following follow-ing season, will be able to qualify for vacation. The Company requires an employee to work 30 days ' immediately prec.eed'ing a holiday to qualify for holiday holi-day pay. Most seasonal employees em-ployees begin work in November, Nov-ember, and do not work 30 days before Thanksgiving. In future, returning seasonal employees will qualify for a holiday on .Thanksgiving, even though they have been back to work less than 30 days. |
