Ramp-ton Ramp-ton will make his annual visit toSummit County, April 24 when he meets with county, coun-ty, city and school officials at 9:00 a.m. in the Coalville Courthouse. Each year the Governor travels the state meeting with local-elected officials to discuss the concerns and problems of local governments, govern-ments, and their relationships relation-ships and dealings with state agencies. Through these face to face contacts, Governor Ramp-ton Ramp-ton hopes to continue state responsiveness to the needs and desires to Utah res idents. Governor Rampton will also host a regional conference con-ference to be held April 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Park City Resort Ticket House Conference Con-ference Room. Elected officials of Wasatch, Wa-satch, Utah and Summit Counties have been invited to attend. The conference will offer a forum for further input from local officials as to the impact and effectiveness of the Mountainlands Association Associa-tion of Governments onlocal programs and problems. The agenda includes an open discussion period by local officials on that association assoc-iation of governments. Malcolm Beck, Mayor of American Fork and Mountainlands Moun-tainlands Association of Governments, Chairman will give the welcome and introduction intro-duction for the 2 p.m. session. ses-sion. He will be followed by Governor Rampton who will give a few opening remarks. Mr. Beck and staff members mem-bers will present an overview over-view of the Mountainlands Association of Governments. William Bruhn, Director Utah Department of Com munity Affairs and Utah State Planning Coordinator will make a presentation on multi-county associations of government as a framework for State-Local Decisionmaking. Decision-making. Mr. Bruhn will be assisted assist-ed by Burton Carlson, Utah State Planning Coordinator. Preceptions of Mountain-lands Mountain-lands Association of Gov-erbment Gov-erbment will be given by Dr. Doyle Buckwalter, Brigham Young University.
