Show the canyons now and then. Jim has been confined to a rest home in Heber for quite some time now. All his friends wish him well and hope to see him back home again. Mr. and Mrs. John Hoist, former residents now living in Holladay were up for the day to visit and see the beautiful mountains moun-tains in color. John worked for the. Utah Power and Light under Mr. Bailey, and wife Pat will be remembered as Pat Bennie in Empire Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hayes are visiting at the home of Mrs. Clarence Hays, Tom's mother, and have been trying to convince con-vince her she needs a vacation vaca-tion in sunny California as they are now living in San Leandro. But to no avail as she refuses to leave beautiful Park C ity even for a short vacation. Tom's wife will be remembered as Grace Paxton. Both lived in Park City and will be remembered remem-bered by many. Received a very nice letter from Joe Davich, and he mentions men-tions that he is collecting Park City trade coins and finds it very interesting. He hopes there may be some of the oldsters around who can tell him a little about these coins so that he can compile a short history of each. He also hopes to hear from . anyone who may have or know someone who has any of the coins or knowledge of them that may help him in his research. re-search. Collectors are great people and help to preserve the past and it would be nice for anyone who may help in history and preservation. Chit-Chat With Bea CORRECTION: In the last issue of The Record where it stated to be eligible to be a member of The Daughters of Utah Pioneers, you must be a direct descendant of a pioneer who came to Utah before May 10, 1869, NOT 1969. Emma Christiensen reports that Jim is doing nicely, eating eat-ing better and around more even able to go for a ride up |
