Show Vrecks Enter Demolition Neil Clegg stopped in at the Park Record office full of enthusiasm en-thusiasm about the Demolition Derby held on Labor Day. "Wayne (Putman) and I sure do want to thank folks for the way they supported us. We got help from a lot of different people but specially want to thank the Park City Fire Department De-partment and the Sheriff's Patrol." Pat-rol." Vincent Offret gets a special thanks" as do all the drivers of the cars and Bill Dezell was a big help with his truck in removing the cars. Those who saw the Derby will remember the 1962 Mercury Mer-cury that Wayne had in it-that's the same car that has been in two other Demolition Derby contests and is the ONLY known car in the state of Utah that has lasted THREE of these "do or die" affairs. And it's ready for the next one, we are told, which will be either in Heber or Kamas. '"Would you believe it," said Neil, they pushed us over the ! hill to get us going and we DROVE THAT CAR HOME!" i The Park City Demolition I Derby fund grew substantially ! and donations already have been j made to the Sheriff's patrol j and the Park City Fire Depart- j ment. |
