| Show i M 4 it 1 BASE BALL t SM 5 ammi ii last monday july park city met defeat at the hands ot at the heber baseball team at heber the score was 13 to 7 but hardly gives an idea of how close the game really was for seven innings it was a as good a game as one would care to see first birst one side being ahead and then the other team would woula assume the lead the score being 7 to 7 at the end ot of the ath in the sill inning three passed balls a balk and two errors by park city netted heber five runs and a lead that could not be overcome by the hime team our boys did not play the game that they are capable ot of playing or there would have been a different story to tell the game was well attended there being about 1000 people in the grounds quite a number of these being fans from park city one of the commendable features of the game was the tact fact that it was tree free from wrangling and arguments we are planning on having a return game in park city with heber in the near future ture which will be a real treat to the fans the park city lineup line up at heber last monday fo follows llois ryan c thompson p W melliee Mell wee ib S ITcH wee ab A murdock ss as C wright ab A mohr it if W ile berry r ry ct cf W jackson rt rf 40 0 4 the fast Co alville team will cross bats with our local team on sunday our boys are determined to defeat the Co alville boys by a decisive score it is hoped that more of the tans fans will turn out and help the financial end of the game as well as give their moral support which is very much needed it we are to continue to have a team in park city entirely too many of our home people persist in using the side hill grandstand instead of paying their admission and sitting in the grandstand |
