NIP THE R DROWNED tragic ending of fishing party in th e logan july 9 word reached here this morning ot a tragedy in which a mother lost her alto while tho babe at her breast escaped a similar fate although in an unconscious condition when rescued from its peril the bieno of 0 tragedy was the logan canyon above the city dam W 0 hanson wife and three children accompanied by mrs nells bergsjo and ner baby went up the canyon on a fishing trip when the dugway above the city dam was reached mr hansbu got out of the wagon and went up abe stream to ansh the balance of the party remained in the wagon shortly after mr hanson left one of the little girls started to drive after her father tn some way the lines beame twisted and the horses began to back the wagon was backed completely over me amb emb kment an and overturned into the stream all jumped from the wagon except mrs bergsjo who with her baby still in her arms wax pinned beneath the wagon under water tand was drowned when found the baby although in an unconscious condition was soon revived but the efforts to revive mrs bergsjo proved futile the husband was absent from logan on business but was apprised of his cifes death by telegraph and started at once for home the funeral arrangements will be perfected upon his arrival
