Show SALT LAKE NEWS RETURNS FROM KLONDIKE after a three years quest tor gold in the klondike A B returned to salt lake last evening he benl into tie frozen north with the second expedition that left san francisco and has been prospecting in the country since mr does not come home empty handed in tact it Is understood that he has gotten together a fair sized stake just how much he cleaned up the young man did not care to slate but the seattle papers state that he transformed worth of dust into cash at the mint upon his arrival in seattle he several handfuls of fine nuggets have been preserved by him as specimens speaking of hla experiences in the cortti mr says that he had no narrow escapes being favored with tranquil journeys he believes the day Is past when a poor man can make a stake in the klondike every inch of ground that as worth owning ho said Is carefully staked out and the only way to get land now is to buy it II 11 takes money too to buy ground there tor the owners are all after big game food is now plentiful in the country and at dawson the prices have become reasonable As to the cape nome country I 1 much of an opinion of the place I 1 was there a few days on afie return trip and found the people generally disheartened dis yes I 1 am going back into the klondike probably not before spring I 1 have three good claims on dominion and sulphur creeks which ought to yield a large number of nuggets yet the gold fields of the klondike are substantial and the general belief Is that they will last tor years it Is no longer a great hardship to get into the country
