Show SllSlEF THEJNCE OVER School Board of the Jordan District Spend the Day Looking Over the Schools of Bingham Canyon. Members of the Jordan School District, Dis-trict, including D. C. Jensen, superintendent super-intendent of Schools, Mr. Beckstead, superintendent of Buildings, and Mr. Thompson, clerk, spent Tuesday of this week looking over the schools of Bingham Canyon in order that the necessary repairs needed could be cared for during the vacation months. President W. W. Wilson declared t. a thorough inspection would be made and every detail cared for so that the children of Bingham Canyon would have everything spick and span when the fall trem started. When questioned concerning the swimming pool at the Bingham Central Cen-tral school building, one of the members mem-bers said: "This has always been an eyesore to us, and we are going to make every effort to find a remedy this summer. The children are entitled en-titled to a swimming pool and we are going to do our best to see that it is made ready for use." Concerning football for Bingham High School another member stated that if there were enough large boys in the school when the fall term opens op-ens there was a possibility that the board would assist in getting the local school lined up for football competition competi-tion in this district. The school board went to Copper-field Copper-field in the afternoon, and from there to Highland Boy, from where 'hey inspected the Lower Bingham schools. Mr. C. L. Countryman, lo-al lo-al member of the board accompanied accompan-ied the members on their tour of inspection. |
