Show EVIDENCE AGAINST WIFE0F GLOVER ; CAMBRIDGE, Mas , Dec. S. Mr j Lillian M. Glover three times throat- ened to buy a revolver and shoot her j husband, Clarence F. Glover, of Wal-thum, Wal-thum, for whose murder Hattie Lo Blanc is now on trial here, according o the testimony of Mrs. Kate Samp j son of Auburndale, a witness for tho j defense, today. Mrs. Sampson said j Mrs. Glover made these threats while j visiting her at Auburndale and that she appeared enraged because she said she had found her huf band in I the bath room, insulting Hattie Lo I Blanc. A Farley Brewer, a junior 1 counsel, today In outlining the case of I the defense, said Hattie Le Blanc was brought to Glover's home designedly and was sent from there designedly on the night of the murdtr. The senior counsel for the defense, Molvln M. Johnson, then asked District Dis-trict Attorney Iligglns lo take the stand as the first witness Tor the defense de-fense Mr. Hlggins declined, the jury was sent from the room and a heated argument followed. Finally. Judce Bond ruled that the diti let attorney need not take the stand and the jury was recalled. Neighbors and relatives of the defendant were first called. These witnesses testified that Hattie Hat-tie was one of 19 children and always al-ways bore a good reputation before coming to the Unilcd States. HatUe Le Blanc's sister, Mrs. Irene Le Blanc Lane ley, testified that Mrs. Glover showed her three notes which she had written, in which she declared she wished to rid herself of her husband and would do so. |
