Show PASTOR SCORES RACE SUICIDE. The Right Rev. John Wadsworth, D. D., bishop of Salisbury, England, took a decided stand against American race suicide last Sunday at Chicago in his sermon at the St. James Protestant Episcopal Epis-copal church. He even went to the extent of criticising the Episcopalian Episco-palian marriage service in use in America because it contained no prayer that children bless the union. "I find to my sorrow one serious difficulty in the marriage service ser-vice of our church in America," said the lord bishop. "In England the marriage service includes a prayer that children may be born of the union. I consider it a most important part of the marriage service, and it should be added to the service used here. "I look to the children to solve the domestic problems of your country. Children in the home cement the relation between husband and wife, they add strength to the union, joy to the home, and, with children around, husband and wife grow more fond of each other." I |
