Show ARRANGING TO GIVE AN OPERA President Ivy Williams of the Alumni Alum-ni association has appointed a committee com-mittee to make arrangements for tlie presentation cf a comic opera in tho Ogden theatre, about the mlddl- of November and Joseph Ballantyne has been selected as the musical director. Mr. Ballantyne will hold the f'rst rehearsal within a few days and will select persons for the various parts, according to their voices and ability In acting. While it is expected that all of tho feminine parts ean b selected se-lected without going outside the ranks of the Alumni membership, It will be necessary to reach beyond these bounds for male talenL This will be necessary because many of the young me.-i belonging to the association are engaged in occupations which will not permit them to attend the rehearsals or have left the city. On this list of eligible of both sex there are many of the best singers In the city and there is no danger of lack of talent. tal-ent.
