Show PLEASANT VIEW HAS DEDICATION 1 Imposing exercises were held Friday Fri-day for the dedication of the new school house at Pleasant View. The exercises were directed by Principal Joseph H. Ilelln and were a ti ended by a number or visitors from outside districts, among ihcm . br-iug former superintendent of Weber county schools L. K. Kprerison. county superintendent sup-erintendent W. N. Pettersen and president pres-ident F W. StraUord of the county board of education. The exercises commenced at the meeting house at 2 o'clock and continued con-tinued until 4 o'clock, when Ibo assembled as-sembled guests repaired to the new school building. After brief dedicatory dedica-tory exercises the assembled guests partook of a sumptuous repast, prepared pre-pared and served by the Relief society. so-ciety. The first school district was organized organ-ized at Pleasant View on August 2(. lSiiS. and the first school was located in a private home. William Godfrey was the first teacher and W. C, i Wardlelgh, K. W. Wade and Jesse Rc-ed were also among the first teachers. teach-ers.
