The bill that passeJ the council last evening provides for the same raise In the salaries of the patrolmen an before, be-fore, hut it defers tho increase a year after the ordinance becomes a law. The proi9ion of the new ordinance, ordi-nance, which Is an amendment to the present ordinance on the question, provides that the patrolmen shall be paid $9iJ0 for tho first year after the ordinance becomes a law, this being $SU per month, and the same as has peen paid under the present ordluance and $ 1 .080 per year thereafter, or $90 per month The ordinance passed by a unanimous vote of the couneilmen present, Couucllmeu Wilson aud Dickson being absent. |
