I I) C. The land Inciunes about lO.uon j acres in Eox Elder county. In the same neighborhood as the holdings of I n I'tah company headed by C'ongress-I C'ongress-I man Joseph Howell, which has placed ; the land on the market at from $5 to j $15 an acre. There are no water ; rights. The company secured 1 1 1 1 a to j the ground from the Crocker estate, i Mr Crocker was one of the big shareholders share-holders and original builders of tho Central Pacific railway companv, and under the agreement with the government govern-ment the railway company was given j the odd numbered sections along the line of the railway, and the govern- !' niont withheld the oven numbered sections Mr. Crocker gained title to tho railroad land and his bers recent- J I ly sold the rights to the company which has placed the land on the market. The government now offers J its even numbered sections free for the taking. The only charge made is a fee of about $25 for filing and another smaller fee for prong up the I land. Three hundred and twenty j ncre3 can be taken by each entryman I and tesldence on the land Is not re-I re-I quired. Five years time is given to I cultivate onehalf of tho total.
