Show FLOOD AT EPHRAIM COVERED EVERY STREET Ephralm, Sept. 20. Yesterday afternoon af-ternoon Ephralm was again vlsltPd by a lareo flood, one of the. largest that has visited this section of the country during this summer. It reached town at about I p. m. and covered nearly every street In tho town with mud and water Considerable damage was dono to the business places along Main street as ncveral of tbe basements base-ments were filled with water which mined the goods that were etored there Thone who suffered the heaviest heav-iest losses aro Edcar Thorpe, Wlllard Pehrson. J. P Il3nson and A. C. Bos-en. Bos-en. all of which are buslnesfl places. Miss Pearl Hanson, In trying to get some of the poods out of the basement, base-ment, was nearly drowned, and if help had not been on hand she would have been drowned as the large rock wall caved in and In an Instant tbe entire collar was filled. |
