McMurray had promised on a 10 per cent attorneys' fee basis. Representative C D Carter of Oklahoma Okla-homa was recalled and aaked: "What Is your opinion of Vice President Sherman In matters pertaining per-taining to Indian otfairs?" "He has always shown an interest in tho Indian." Carter replied. "What was his (Sherman's) attitude atti-tude toward large fees?" "He was opposed to them."
