Show Sinks After a Collision, and 39 Persons Are Drowned Gibraltar. Aug. 1C Tho Spanish su-amor Martos foundered this morning morn-ing off Tarlfa. at the entranco to tho Straits of Gibraltar, after a collision with tho Genua n steamer Klsa. Thirty-nine persons were drowned, of which 32 were passengers. The survivors were, landed horo. A d-nse fog prevailed at the time of tho collision. Nine of the victims were first cabin rassengers. Tho other 23 passengers vho perished were In the steerage. The bow of tho F.laa was stove In by the collision, and her fore peak filled quickly with water. The steamer, however, managed to keep afloat. Tho Marios was u small steamer of 1.046 tons not, engaged In the coasting coast-ing traffic. She was built at Dundee. Dun-dee.
