BUSINESS BRISK M LOCALTOffiE SALE LAKE, Aug 11 There was a marked degree of activity taken on this morning by the local stock exchange ex-change and a greater variety of stocks were transacted in. Cedar Talisman was stronger and there was more trading in the security than usual. Speculation In Columbus Consolidated Consoli-dated was strong, many taking stock on buyers. Besides that the stock reached a new high price of 7S cents. The lowest price was 74 cents; the majority of sales being made above that. Colorado sold at ceuts and 1,200 shares changed hands. Iron Blossom reached a new high price of 79 cents, while considerable stock changed bunds at 78 cents The report of a new strike in the No. '. sbart has injected new life into this security. Ohio Copper was much stronger and the number of shares sold was l.firto. This stock sold throughout at $1 SO. Evidently some news has come from the Inside a.i to the financing of this company. V. A. Helnze and Colin Mcintosh, manager of the company, are still in Europe and no word has been received here as to what success they have had. Far more stocks were active this morning than usual on the market nnd such securities as Uncle Sam, Soulh Iron Blossom, Joe Bowers. Yankee Yan-kee Consolidated. May Day and others oth-ers were traded in to quite an extent and also brought better prices. The total number of shares sold this morning was the highest for the month, being G1.0SI. and the amount paid out for securities was much better, bet-ter, being .1S,6SG.03.
