Parker, who wrote tho prevailing opinion of Lhe court of appeals of New York in the "bakc-shop" case mention of which was made by Theodore Theo-dore Roosevelt in his recent uddres.s to the Colorado legislature In which the former president critici?ed the supreme court of the Unite, J States made the following statement today in defense of the supreme court. "It Is safe to assert that the attack at-tack on the supreme court of the United Statse by Mr. Roosevelt In his address to tho legislature of Colorado will not be approved by the bench and bar and the thoughtful people of this country who appreciate the Importance Im-portance of the Judiciary In our government gov-ernment system and the necessity for continuance of the existence of" public pub-lic confidence and affection in our courts.
