Show THE PIERRES IN ARREST ; ONE OF THEM ESCAPES St. Anthony, Nov. IS. Paul and Edward Pierre have been arrested for grand larceny. They are accused of entering tho house of Bill Williams of Mcnan at night and after a scrim mage managed to make their escape. Williams, who was mixed up in some of tho former trouble with the Plerres at Mud Lake last winter, surpected the Plerres had filed a complaint against I hem the morning after the tremble. A constable from Idaho Falls, went out to Mud lake, where the Plerres live, and in bringing them In was compelled to stay over night at Market Lake. He placed the Plerres in adjoining rooms at the hotel and locked the doors In them, there being no Jail, and In the night Ed Pierre escaped, es-caped, and up to the present time has not been captured. A number of houses have been broken into In the vicinity of Market Lake and Mcnan and suspicion points strongly to the Pierros in each and every case. A few months ago Paul Pierre was tried and acquitted of the charge of murdering his father, although the evidence pointed so strongly to the guilt of the oung man that Indignation Indigna-tion ran high when It was learned thm he had been acquitted. Tho young man, since gaining his freedom, has been In hot water continually, and has been warned several times that be would have t desist or serious trouble tr-ouble was In store for the m. As he has confessed to the robberies In the present pre-sent case, he Is at last most llkelv to ri'celve the sentenuce ho so richly deserves. Officers in all parts of the count v are ou tho lookout for the escaped brother, Ed Pierre, and tho chances are that he will be captured without with-out much trouble. |
