The lower lloors of the building are occupied by I. L. Clark t Sons' corn-company, corn-company, general merchandise, and J. S. Carver Sons, grocers. The smoke was caused by the burning out of a chimney or the ex ioslon of a small accumulation of gas. and thG buildings were at no time In danger of being destroyed by fire.
