Show HAWLEY OFFICIALS VISIT I SALT LAKE ON BUSINESS i Salt Lake. Oct. 25. It is not olten that officials of the far eastern lines come to this city ou business, but a party 'of representatives of the Chesapeake Chesa-peake & Ohio system arrived early Monday morning in a private car and passed the day as the guestH of J. K. Gosling, the local representative of the Kanawha Dispatch. The C. & O is a Haw ley road, its chairman being Frank Trumbull formerly of Denver. The officials arriving Monday were General Passenger Agent J. D. Potts of that road from Richmond. General Manager Thornton Lewis of the Kanawha Kan-awha Dispatch and General Manacer R. H Vaughan of the Rlue Ridge Dispatch, Dis-patch, two auxiliary companies. TheHe two officials and Edward Pfofferjing came from Cincinnati. H. P. Hathaway, Hatha-way, the general western agent of the Kanawha, from St. Ixmis, was also in tlie party. Mr. Gosling entertained the visitors at luncheon at the Commercial club, S. V. Derrah and J. J Kavanaugh be'- Ing of the party. Later they Inspected the new building nnd sai l it was the I finest of its kind ever built for a com-1 com-1 mercial club. They left for the east In the afternoon. |
