The man very much desired to leave tho city, but the court was of the opinion that It would bo better for him to remain re-main for a few days In passing sentence sen-tence tho court remarked: "I think tho weather will moderate considerably within the next few days, and It will be much more comfortable com-fortable for you on the outside. Dyke stated that he had drank an enormous lot of whisky the night before be-fore his arrest, but that on tho dav the officer "pinched" him. ho bad a fit and that a drink of whiskv was given him as a restorative. Charles Burton, a lad who was yep terday arraigned before the judsre on the charge of drunkenness, and who at the time stated that he was 1fi years old. was brought before the court this morning.
