Show HERE FROM JARBIDGE COUNTRY I I Clayton Gannett of Salt T,ake was J In Ogden this forenoon conferring with the head of the forest service as I to timber permits In the Humboldt j forest near the new mining carnp of I Jarbldge, Nevada. Mr. Gannett, In connection with others, has the contract for stocking the mail route from Twin Falls,. Ida-bo, Ida-bo, to Jarbidge. and bo plans establishing estab-lishing a sawmill near the already famous fa-mous camp. As soon as the weather will permit there will be great things doing in that ection of the country and that splendid results will follow. Speaking of Jarbldge, Mr. Gannett stated that it is a heavily mineralized zone and that as soon as mining oper- ators there have time to make devel-I devel-I opments, Jarbidge will be ono of the ! big raining camps of the western I country. The road Into the camp at ' this time Is difficult to travel, but, notwithstanding not-withstanding that fact, a great many j people are making their way into that I section, and It looks as though the springtime will bring lively times. 'For the present, Mr. Gaunett's hoad-i hoad-i quarters are at Twin Falls. He states J that tho section of country around the Falls Is moving along at a rapid pace and that great developments nave been made there during the past few months The land reclamation projects pro-jects of that country have been tuo means of building up a prosperous community and, Mr. Gannett thinks, It is onlv a question of a short time be fore Twin Falls will be classed among trie leading cities of Idaho. |
