Show PLEADS GUILTY TO BEING A VAGRANT . ' I I In the criminal division of the municipal muni-cipal court this morning Daisy Munn failed to appear aud answer the charge of vagrancy, and her ball for $10 wbb declare-d forfeited. Daisy Is a colored woman. A. J. Heath was arrested yesterday for violating the bicycle ordinance and ho furnished bail in tho sum of $5 for his appearajice in court this morn-lug. morn-lug. He failed to appear, however, and the ball was forfeited. John Sullivan was arraigned on the charge of vagrancy, alleged to havo been committed yesterday. He pleaded plead-ed . guilty, but requested tho court that ho be given the opportunity of "leaving the city." The court took a different view of the situation and told John that ho ought to be ashamed to plead guilty to vagrancy, being such a strong, able-bodied man. "You are a great strong, young fellow, fel-low, capable of doing any kind of work, an dfor you to come Into this court and plead guilty to the charge of vagrancy looks bad You ought to be aJihamed of yourself. I am going go-ing to sentence you to ten days in tbe chy Jail, and you may rest assured as-sured that if you are brought back here on 3uch a charge, or any other, for that matter, you will get all tho law will permit me to give you." j |
