Show DRANK POISON AND V BARELY ESCAPED DEATH A hurry up call came to the police department at about 5 o'clock last evening that Mrs. E. S. Grant of 210S Lincoln avenue, had taken a dose of poison and that help was needed. Officer Offi-cer Copper was Immediately dispatched dispatch-ed to the place, In the meantime Dr. Dickson was summoned. The officer and the doctor found tho woman laboring la-boring under the influence of a strong poison. The doctor admlnisterel poison pois-on antidotes which had the desired effect and the lady was soon declared out of danger. The Impression among the neighbors and the husband 'was that Mrs. Grant had taken a dose of carbolic acid, but Dr, Dickson states that it was morphine. mor-phine. Mrs. Grant Is about 45 years old, her husband being a carpenter by trade. Whether she took the drug with suicidal Intent Is a mooted question. ques-tion.
