"There Is a fixed relation between the rates from eastern points to corresponding cor-responding territory served by each of the trans-continental Hues," said an I official tonight, "and, therefore, It would follow that class rates would bo reduced to points similarly situated on the Union Pacific, Santa Fe and Southern Pacific lines and the ultimate ulti-mate effect of such changes will be a I widespread adjustment of the rates In the whole territory- west of Chicago j and south of the International bound-1 bound-1 nr7." i |
