Show ONLY CERTAIN DEMOCRATS ARE FAVORED. The Morning Examiner has a fit every time the Standard mentions the possibility of a Democrat, olher than Mayor Brewer, running for office. What alls the Examiner? Has It mado a contract with Mayor Brewer? Is It tied to Brewer's apron strings? In a long article, the Morning Ex- aminer tries to tell the public tnai the Examiner "Will voice no man's cause for a nomination at the Democratic Demo-cratic convention." Well, Democrats, how do .you like that? You cannot have representation representa-tion In the "Official Democratic Paper Pa-per of Utah." If you are a candidate for office, you must come to the Standard Stand-ard aud have your announcement made.. Your own organ says you cannot can-not have publicity until you get a nomination. All this cjearly shows that tho Examiner is tied hand and foot to the Brewer administration. Rrewer i In the Dubllc cvc. If the ! Examiner will glvo no other Democrat ' even mention for office, then Brewer I wlli be the only pebble on the beach I and his nomination wlil bo made easy. Brewer has proved himself a wlshy-I wlshy-I washy lfflclal. He made promises to both the liquor and prohibition element ele-ment and then broko faith with each in turn. Ho is tho weakest caudidate the Democrats have. The Standard hopes the Democrats will nominate him again. He will assure Republican success. But Sam Thomas or Horace Peery could mako a race that would surprise the natives. Democrats, if you have candidates in your party, como to tho Standard.
