Unofficial compilation of returns re-turns to 2:30 p. m. tcday increased the lead of William H. King, Democrat incumbent, to approximately 1700 more votes than Ernest Bamberger Republican, in the Utah senatorial sen-atorial contest. Nevspaper tabulators report King going slowly to the fore but returns are not complete enough to forecast a victory No accurate figures on the congressional contests were available at 1 p. m., but those completed earlier showed the incumbent Republicans leading by small margins. With Weber county giving "William H. King a majority of at least 1700 votes and with Salt Lake county piling up a majority for the junior senator, indicctions this afternoon pointed to the defeat de-feat of Ernest Bamberger, the Republican nominee.
