Sweden broke almost even on emigration and Immigration during the past year, according ac-cording to figures published by the central bureau of statistics. The number of emigrants was 8950. or about 1100 less than In ISL'u. while swedes returned to th.- 1 home country and 562 foreigners became naturalized na-turalized ( f the entire number of Swedish emigrants about 66 per cent went to (he United States. There were about 0 per cent more women than men among those- who left tholr native na-tive country. Most of these women were single, and between 15 and 25 years of age.
