Show reception given METHODIST PASTOR Tho members of the Methodist church tendered a very cordial reception recep-tion to their new pastor, the Rev. W. E. Bennett, and his family last Fn-1 Fn-1 day evening in the parlors of the church ,' A pleasing program was carried out. It Included an address of welcome by ! A. A. Wycoff. which was answered 1 by the pastor. Short talks were made ! by the Rev L. A. Garrison of the1 Baptist church and th Rev.. J. E. Carver of the Presbyterian church. I Tho musical program included sev-I sev-I erai vocal and instrumental numbers I Perhaps tho outstanding feature of tho evening was the scries of songs' j by the girls' chorus of the Leaf and I Blind school. Tho Rev. J. E Enman of the Con-' , gregntlonal church pronounced the 1 benediction Punch anil wafers wore served by the Ladies' Aid society who I also arranged the decorations of 1 autumn leaves and cut flowers. ... |
