Supervisor McQueen said that sheepmen navo b?en unable to ship lambs this season due to the fact that the railroad officials would not guarantee guar-antee to have cars at the shipping points when the shi;ep arrived Inasmuch as many of the sheepmen were forced to take their sheep on foot to the places of shipping over ( onelderablc distances, they were confronted con-fronted with the Inability of shipping the animals when they arrived at the shipping places, because of lack of cars. 1 his forced them to be prepared to feed the animals until cars should arrive ar-rive and, according to reports received by Supervisor McQueen, they had no way of knowing from the railroad officials of-ficials when tnu cars would arrive. Crop conditions throughout the state are reported good, be said. There is practically no mining activity going go-ing on at present, comparatively bpeaklng, Supervisor McQueen said. oo |
