The early raw sugar market was steady und unchanged today at 3c for Cubas, cost and freight, equal to 5 33c for centrifugal. There were sales of 35,-000 35,-000 bags of Cubas to a local refiner for November shipment and 85.000 to an outport retlm r. prompt shipment, ship-ment, at quoted prices Tho raw sugar futures market was steadier, owing to the increased activity ac-tivity in raw sugar and prices at midday mid-day were four to eight points nt higher on covering and trade buying. December showed the maximum gain. The market for refined sugar was unchanged at 6 90 to 7 00c for fine granulated with new business still light. Refined futures nominal.
