The order was presented following the decision of Referee Daniel j. Gleason In affirming affirm-ing the legitimacy of Mrs. Sttllman's youngest child. Guy, and denying James a. Mr. Gleason submitted a bill foi $23,900. stating that he had devoted 148 duys to hearing and consideration of the cose. It had boon stipulated, ho said, that he was to receive $150 a day Mr Mack did not submit bill, leaving It for the court to fix his compensation. - Mr. Gleason's bill was criticised by Outerbrldge Horsey, of counsel for Mr Stillman, who declared that It covered "an unreasonable period of time," an 1 that It was "exorbitant In amount." Actual trial, he declared, consumed only 30 days and he contended that 30 days more for consideration should have been ample.
