Arthur IfcOregor, formerly of Ogden. has hern elected vice president of the Utah I-rfgal club, an organization formed of Utah men attending tho George Washlngtrm university. accordi.lg to information received here today The new officers were lectel at a meeting meet-ing held November 14. There are three Ugden men now in the organization, Ray Morrlsey Stanley Stan-ley J. Tracy and M McGregor. Kenneth Ken-neth N. Parkinson of Salt Lake was chosen president; Walter Atchison, secretary, and Matthew Cowley, treasurer. treas-urer. SPRY SPEAKS William Spry, former governor of Utah, and now United States land commissioner, spoke before the club members at the November 14 meeting meet-ing and declared "that disgraceful and dilatory tactic mark the courts of th I'nited States." Talking to the Utah law students of the university, the former governor pointed out the defects in the Judicial system of the United States and urged that the younger g--n ration do their utmost In speeding up Justice In tho future. lie gave an account of the famous HlUetrom case, which was tried Iti I tan and attracted International attention at-tention at th- tln.e. relating how various var-ious methods were used to delay the case and defeat Justice.
