So successful has been the first j half ol the first annual conference of I the Ftah Christian Endeavor union, which is being held here, that plans ! are already being made for the 192" meeting. The Rev Henry Jacobs, pastor of the Burlington Baptist and Rio Grande Baptist churches of Salt Lake, delivered deliv-ered the main address Tuesday morning morn-ing speaking on "What the Young People's Peo-ple's Society Is For " Tin- Rev Mr Jacobs urged the En-deavorers En-deavorers to go back to their societies and work toward greater efficiency He asked the Endeavorers to be more-sincere more-sincere in then work, in conclusion stating: "One of our most serious problems Is just here. We cannot get the young people to read. A live lawyer law-yer reads upon his cases and a live doctor reads up on his work. If the lawyer and doctor cease to read their cases, it i6 only a question of time when i hey will cease to have any cases to read We need to read up on our cases just as truly as the doctor doc-tor and the lawyer."
