Show Jailed for Shooting at j Shift Boss County Attorney Arthur Morton Mor-ton on Monday filed a complaint charging George Ekis, better Ii known here as George Thorpe, with assault and an attempt to murder Frank Pomel, a shift- boss at the Highland Boy Mine on Friday last. Ekis is alleged to have shot at Pomel as he was coming out of the mine at 2:30 on Saturday morning. Ekis was immediately placed under arrest by Officer Al Paustch and placed in the Bingham jail and was taken to Salt Lake by deputies dep-uties and placed in the County Jail Saturday evening. Efforts will be made to have the preliminary Hearing in local Judge E. E. Dudley's court on Wednesday next. N- |
