Show I PROPERTY DAMAGE CASE IS CONTINUED The case of the state against Jack Pullen oharged with malicious destruction de-struction of property, began In the it v court this morning. Pullen pleaded plead-ed not guilty Edna Nichols. complainant, testified testi-fied that she had rented Pullen a three-room house located at 233-1 Wall avenue, owned by herseif and Grace tierrington; that drawers in v.)h-stand v.)h-stand had been destroyed, a chair i broken and ashes dumped on the floor I In one of the rooms and spilled on ! the rugs. Charles Farr. attorney for Pull- n on cross-examination, drew an ndinis-1 ndinis-1 sion from the witness that Pullen was, -till the tenant at the premises and : then turning to the court moved that ! the case be dismissed on the grounds that a tenant could not be charged in a criminal complaint with the destruction de-struction of property in his possession i- a tenant. The court adjourned until 1 o'clock to allow Attorney Farr and County Attorney David J. Wilson who reslst- ! the motion to submit authorities on the point involved. |
